Fire valves are used to connect a hose or an outlet to the ship's fire fighting system to help fight a fire or for deck washing. They can be used for freshwater or seawater with a maximum temperature of 80°C.
A landing valve is used to obtain a constant pressure at the outlet. Landing valves as well as fire valves have a DIN flanged inlet and a BSP threaded outlet for connection of fire couplings.
